Have Fun With the Top 10s

The Internet is an interesting source of entertainment. Right from teenagers to the oldies, people love to surf about various things. They browse cars, cine stars, electronic gadgets, mobile phones, medical procedures, cosmetic collections, clothing trends, the list is endless. You name it and they have it online. This is because now almost everyone wants to share their experiences & thoughts and get business online.

Earlier there used to be websites that specialized in one of the interests, be it a game, some technology, mobiles, sportsmen, technicians, professionals, etc. Now there are some websites that have compiled the best of all and presented in a short & concise manner. In order to make the package rather interesting, they have ranked it as 'top 10.'

The 'top ten lists' are something real fun. They brief you about anything you wish to know in totality without any unworthy details. For instance, you could read brief glimpses of 'the top 10 scandals in the last decade.' Or you could look out for 'the top 10 cars.' The film lovers frequently follow the countdowns that show the hit music & the films running successfully. The fun part is that they team it along with the audio and visuals of the film.

Besides entertainment, the top 10 are helpful in case you want to do some exclusive research. These lists give you a quick review of many cases in the parlance. Some websites show top 5 as well. But ten is more preferred as they give you double the information.

If you are truly net savvy, you would love to watch the videos and dance to the music as you read through some intriguing material online. The bloggers also love to format their writings in this pattern as it makes the article more readable & follow-able.

This writing style brings out the competition between film stars and ranks them in a chronology as per an individual's choice. Likewise, it also brings out the importance of the things around you.

There are many websites that tell their readers to rank the things that they read online. Then based on their allotted ranks and comments these websites rank their web pages or the articles or the products & services. It is utmost fun to allot these ranks online. This works as a perfect means to understand the social being of a country. The citizens voice their thoughts quite visibly with this technique. Some countries have used this technique to know the public opinion and then used it as guidelines in order to make effective policies.

You might have seen that when you are told to fill in the form of a consumer survey, it has exactly the same format. They tell you to rank your preferences. But they usually restrict it to top 3 or top 5. The online surveys are littler more detailed and they tell you to rank even 15 things some times. Those who love to be on the net, they fill in these surveys with a lot of interest.

Author posts many top ten lists on his blog regularly, his top ten videos are really popular.

Mobile Content Distribution - The Importance of Moving With the Times

The way that people buy creative content has changed a lot in the last few years. Whereas a few years ago it was high street shops that distributed CDs, posters and DVDs, now it is all done on the internet.

Most people will buy almost all of their creative content online. One way that they do this is through mail order companies. These companies offer exactly the same products as the high street shops with a much larger range and at much lower prices. Another way that people are choosing to buy their creative content is by downloading it. Downloading music and films is becoming more and more popular. Now a single can be the best selling single in the UK before it has even hit the shop shelves. The market for these digital creative products is huge.

Most companies dealing in creative content and media recognise the importance of the internet. They have sophisticated websites which allow their customers to safely and securely download, and pay for the content they want to buy. However, there is a key area that many companies aren't giving the attention it deserves.

People no longer simply use their home or work computer to use the internet. Many people will have a laptop which they can use to surf the net wirelessly. Increasingly, since the launch of intelligent smartphones, people are choosing to use their mobile phones to browse the internet.

Though most sites will display fairly well on a mobile phone, those geared towards marketing and selling creative content may not display in a way that realises their full potential. In order for a company to tap into the consumers using their phones they must give mobile content distribution the attention it deserves.

In order to tap into the potential of this market you need a website that is geared specifically towards mobile content distribution. The trouble with mobile phone browsers is that they are all different. In order for your website to display correctly it must be able to adapt.

The best way to get the most out of the mobile market is to use a company that specialises in mobile content distribution. These companies will be able to supply you with storefront software that will ensure that your mobile content distribution site is always displayed correctly, and that it performs to its full potential. Without the expert knowledge and technical expertise of a specialist mobile content distribution company, your site will never realise its full potential.

Don't Get Lost

Rising stars shoot up fast, burn bright, and then fade away. That pretty much describes the music industry. When bands first make it on to the major music scene, the record labels do everything they can to promote and build their reputation. A band might sell millions of albums and attract a spotlight everywhere they go. For many, that popularity doesn't last long. As soon as the next music sensation is discovered by their record label, that former music sensation is pushed to the side. When fans hear their rare radio play, they wonder whatever happened to those guys. Very few bands manage to weather the music industry long term. Why is it that some bands can stick around for years, while others fizzle out? That's a great question that many musicians ask themselves on the way down. When it comes time for your band to get into the big time, what steps can you take to avoid the fate of so many condemned musicians? That topic can be pretty subjective.

When the music industry picks up their next big hit, it is because they see something that will appeal to society right then. A&R Coordinators are the talent scouts that find new acts to sign. They are experts on what is hot right now, and what is upcoming. Once they find what they think will work in the current market, the label will put all their energy to making money from their new find. They build their image and their sound to appeal to the public. Fans of popular music, though, can be fickle. It doesn't take long before trends change and what was cool is now out of date. One of the biggest mistakes a band can make when they hit the big time is to change their style to suit the record label. Musicians get discovered because someone liked what they saw in them. That means the talent scout thought you had something going for you. When you change too much to meet commercial needs, you are guaranteeing yourself a short career.

The best way to ensure a long shelf life in the music industry is to stay true to what your band was intended to be. Any changes you make should be because that's what your fans want. One of the keys to a successful band knows your audience. The audience that record labels cater to is the largest target group they can find. Your fans may not fit that profile. Staying in touch with your audience will allow you to grow and change to meet their needs, not the needs of a sales quota. Bands that try too hard to fit into the mold someone else creates for them are doomed to fail.

When your band finally gets their turn at the spotlight, it can be tempting to follow the lead of others and go for the money. Money is not what got you where you are, so it probably won't get you where you want to go. Stay true to your vision, and the needs of your fans, and the rest will take care of itself.

Who Sang Spirit In The Sky?

Yet another generation of music lovers has been introduced to an "oldie but goodie." Gatorade's newest sports drink, Tiger, named for golfing great Tiger Woods, is promoted via a "Moonshot" video which depicts the world's greatest golfer (in a space suit) lacing a drive off the surface of the moon to the tune of the late 60's classic (released in 1969) "Spirit In The Sky."

"Spirit In The Sky" is the song that puts folk-rocker Norman Greenbaum in the "one-hit-wonder" category of popular music (it peaked in March of 1970 at #3). It has endured despite Greenbaum's short and uneven career in record-making. (Greenbaum was known for unusual songs with odd titles such as "Canned Ham." But hey, this was THE 70s!)

Although "Spirit In The Sky" is not considered a gospel song in the traditional sense, clearly the subject is going to the great beyond...if you "have a friend in Jesus." A strikingly traditional religious sentiment for the period.

"Spirit In The Sky" was prominently featured in the 1995 Ron Howard directed blockbuster Apollo 13 starring Tom Hanks. It was also notably recorded by alt-country rockers The Kentucky Headhunters and, more recently, by British pop singer Gareth Gates.

Spirit In The Sky Lyrics

(Words and Music by Norman Greenbaum)

When I die and they lay me to rest

Gonna go to the place that's the best

When I lay me down to die

Goin' up to the spirit in the sky

Goin' up to the spirit in the sky

That's where I'm gonna go when I die

When I die and they lay me to rest

Gonna go to the place that's the best

Prepare yourself you know it's a must

Gotta have a friend in Jesus

So you know that when you die

He's gonna recommend you

To the spirit in the sky

Gonna recommend you

To the spirit in the sky

That's where you're gonna go when you die

When you die and they lay you to rest

You're gonna go to the place that's the best

Never been a sinner I never sinned

I got a friend in Jesus

So you know that when I die

He's gonna set me up with

The spirit in the sky

Oh set me up with the spirit in the sky

That's where I'm gonna go when I die

When I die and they lay me to rest

I'm gonna go to the place that's the best

Go to the place that's the best

Hip New Music - Why the Next Big Hit Could Come From a Simple Home Recording Studio

Hip New Music - The Home Recording Revolution Has Begun

Often we are not able to predict or even see great change around us until the change is well under way or the change is complete. This article's goal is to provide a real time report of the most profound change in the creation and delivery of recorded music in history. In many ways, more important than the invention of audio recording itself.

What is the change and what caused it?

Put simply, the tools and the ability to record professional quality songs and music is being taken from the hands of the few and put in the hands of many.

The Top 7 Reasons (So Far) That Home Recording Musicians Will Take Over Supplying Hip New Music to Hungry Listeners

  • Reason 1: The rapid improvement, increase in power, and increased affordability of home computers.

  • Reason 2: Rapid improvement and affordability of internet delivery speeds and bandwidth, causing the availability of high speed internet to more and more users.

  • Reason 3: Increased demand for high quality home studio equipment has encouraged more products and innovation. This competition has created a huge reduction in the cost of setting up a home studio.

  • Reason 4: Internet music file sharing has begun the death of the big recording labels' monopoly on music distribution.

  • Reason 5: The death of the unholy alliance between big recording labels and traditional radio, which previously succeeded in dictating style, genres and taste to more than a generation of music buyers.

  • Reason 6: The unprecedented exposure, via the internet, of fans and listeners around the world to every conceivable type of music is driving a vast demand for more and more varied, independent music.

  • Reason 7: The spreading realization among musicians and aspiring recording artists that recording professional quality songs and music at home is in fact possible, achievable and affordable

What Does the Future Hold for Home Recording Artists?

For those aspiring musicians and producers who understand, and also embrace and act on the possibilities and opportunities now available, the future of the music industry seems to belong to them.

Consider this:

The average home computer with even free recording software installed, possesses more power than the studios where most of the great records were recorded. This represents a massive opportunity for home recording artists to take control of their own fate. The increasing affordability of the home studio equipment available for today's home studio, make this even more true.

Recording Your Hip New Music - What it Takes to Get Professional Sound in the Home Recording Studio

It is now possible to achieve pro quality recording at home with very simple home recording equipment. Therefore, the tools of the trade are no longer an obstacle.

Making successful and confident sounding home recordings now comes down to the desire and determination of each aspiring recording artist or producer. In other words it is important to become familiar with the characteristics and needs of various sounds and the interaction of their frequencies.

When you know how to take control of how sounds behave together, the recording process becomes a series of quite simple and logical steps from the beginning of the recording to the final successful mix.

This does not mean that it is necessary to re-invent the wheel. Instead, seek a straightforward and simple guide to successful and professional home recording.

In other words, your music may be your unique creation, but the "craft" of recording is not. Before needlessly wasting months of trial and error, make the decision to accept the knowledge of those who are already achieving the results you desire from the home studio.

We Are Entering the Golden Age for Independent Music. Will You Be Ready?

The demand for independent and self-produced recordings has never been stronger. TV series, major and indie movies, web content, documentaries, advertising, CD compilations, and a host of other opportunities too long to list here, are all clamoring for hip new music to provide a fresh and original soundtrack for this explosion of new projects.

Indie and home studio musicians and songwriters are the captains of their own ships, whether they realize it or not. Those musicians who have the foresight to embrace the realities of the new music industry, will find little resistance in forging their path and making their mark.

I invite you to see hip new music from simple home recording set ups. These various indie artists' recordings are successfully being placed in movies, tv, cd release etc. Their songs have one thing in common: They were recorded with the help of the step by step Easy Home Recording Blueprint method. I invite you to achieve your own professional quality home recordings simply, quickly and affordably using a your own home computer, 3 cables, simple recording software and almost no extra equipment.

Warner/Chappell, Hi Bias, Audio Socket and LoudThud recording artist, songwriter and producer, Owen Critchley has been writing, recording and releasing music for over 15 years. A Brief History of Rock and Pop Music

You may be wondering when exactly did rock/pop music begin? There's no clear answer to this. Some might say that it started with the advent of rock n roll with Bill Haley and the Comets in 1952. Others would say Elvis, although not the first but surely the original truly global superstar. Yet none of these were really the first. Rock n roll has its roots in blues which has its roots back to the 19th century with black immigrants trying to escape from their slave driven lives. Fast forward to the early 20th. century and some of the earliest recordings on 78 began to appear. Players from this time such as Bobby Jo and Robert Johnson helped to form the structure of early blues

Robert Johnson had recorded only thirty songs during his short life as he was prevented from achieving true fame while alive by being poisoned by a jealous husband. He died shortly before he was being sought to appear at the 'Spirituals To Swing' concert in 1938 by record producer John Hammond. As a result, his reputation only took off after Hammond released an album of his recordings for Columbia in the early sixties. Later blues exponents like Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton admitted borrowing heavily from these early stalwarts.

In the 50's, artists took the basic blues style and used electric guitars, drums and double bass for the first time creating early rock n roll, later known as rockabilly. Stalwarts like Chuck Berry, Buddy Hollie and Jerry Lee Lewis were the most famous protagonists here. Later Elvis in the US and to a lesser extent, Cliff Richard (later leading the Shadows) in the UK brought rock n roll to a truly worldwide audience. This paved the way for the 60's beat era which could be considered the true beginning of pop music as we know it today, certainly as far as bands were concerned.

In the 50's and early 60's, it was mostly lead solo artists with just a backing band. With the advent of the beat era, bands dominated with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys from the US taking the world by storm. Even so, The Beatles later admitted being heavily influenced by those earlier rock n roll and blues artists. They mostly played rock n roll and blues covers at their pre-fame Hamburg concerts. in the early 60's. The Beatles however, were the first band to successfully blend classical music textures with rock n roll to form perfectly crafted pop songs. While bands like The Rolling Stones continued with the mainly rock n roll theme,

The Beatles took their finely crafted style further in the seminal album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in 1967 by utilizing new studio techniques and instruments never used before. They used a new instrument called 'the Melotron' This was basically a keyboard which played looped tape recordings. of real instruments. The most famous sound from this was probably the flute used on the 'Strawberry Fields' single recorded at the same time but later dropped from the album. The Melotron though, was cumbersome and unreliable and had a rather grainy sound. Even so It was regarded as the forerunner of the electronic sampler, invented nearly 20 years later. Infinitely more flexible than the Melotron, the sampler helped build the framework for modern pop, dance and R&B music.

The Beatles 'Sgt.. Pepper' album with its groundbreaking recording techniques was preceded the year before by their 'Revolver' album. These LP's helped popularize a new wave in music known as psychedelic or acid rock, named after the mind bending effects of LSD drugs. Pink Floyd also recorded their debut album 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' in the studio next door at the same time that The Beatles recorded Sgt. Pepper. It was reported that Pink Floyd were a direct influence to The Beatles as a result. This new style incorporated new guitar effects like Fuzz, flanger anger and delays. These were used along side the earliest portable synthesizers such as the therein and mini Moog. invented by Bob Moog.

In America, the Beach boys responded with the 'Pet sounds' LP in 1966 and later that year released the first big psychedelic hit 'Good Vibrations'. About this time, the band 'Jefferson Airplane' recorded their debut album which was also the first LP to come out of the new San Franciscan music scene. This got the record industry's attention and they had two of the earliest psychedelic hits 'White Rabbit' and 'Somebody to Love' in 1967.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Jim Morrison joined with members of The Psychedelic Rangers and Rick and the Ravens to form 'The Doors' They were initially turned down by Columbia but were signed to Electra Records and released their self titled debut LP in 1967. The album included the 7 minute long hit single 'Light my Fire' one of the first to break the typical three minute pop and rock song barrier.

Back in Britain, radio broadcasting was very limited because the BBC were the only organization allowed to broadcast on the mainland and had just two pop music shows The Saturday club and Easy Beat Radio Luxembourg partially filled the gap but it was left to pirate radio, broadcast from ships out at sea with DJ John Peel' which enabled the new style to reach a mass audience, often eclipsing the BBC in popularity. The BBC responded in the end with the advent of Radio 1 in June 1967. With the existing labor government making pirate radio illegal in Britain several months later, Du's like John Peel rather than risk arrest joined radio 1 which had a much more informal and relaxed style as opposed to the staid and conservative approach favored by the BBC until then. This perfectly suited psychedelic pop and rock and John Peel championed this in his late night shows. playing new genres of music and introducing new and unsigned bands in the Peel sessions. He did this for nearly four decades until his death in 2004.

By the end of the 60's after the break up of the beatles, mainstream music was about to change direction yet again both in style and fashion.

Ginuwine Senior Pop Music CD Review

Not sure what's happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the better Senior gets. Senior simply put is one of Ginuwine's best CDs to date.

Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Ginuwine possesses the characteristic of being able to win you over with him talent alone. The kind of artist I really enjoy listening to.

While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 8 - Bedda To Have Loved, track 13 - Our First Born, and track 16 - Tigger and The Gizzle.

Grady Nichols "Sophistication" Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Smooth Jazz artist Grady Nichols has released his CD entitled Sophistication. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Grady Nichols fans, and Smooth Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Sophistication Grady Nichols's artistic excellence is on full display as he has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be his best work to date.

Grady Nichols has been a super star in the Smooth Jazz genre for quite some time now and Sophistication is an excellent illustration as to why.

Smooth Jazz music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors n the project including Jeff Lorber and Chris Botti plus a few other notables as well.

If you're a Grady Nichols fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don't even have to be a fan of Nichols, or even Smooth Jazz to know is good. It's just good music. Period.

You Can Compose a One Hit Wonder

We all love and enjoy music. There is music everywhere you go and we can enjoy this anytime we want. The great thing about music is you can close your eyes and drift into a place reality cannot take you. Just listen to the music and drift away. The composer takes us to this place and the music they compose gives us great joy.

The beautiful thing is anyone with a little music background can compose music. Songwriting software can be used by anyone with a basic knowledge of point and click. Combine the two and you can have the next big hit. Think of a simple melody that is catchy and you are well on your way to having a one hit wonder.

There is nothing hard about music composing. Software makes writing it out very easy. Creativity is the backbone to writing music. If you are reading this and you are a musician, you already have most of what you need. I say this because as a musician you are creative and it will only be a matter of time till you have a catchy melody.

The only other thing you will need is songwriting software. This is very important if you want to get started in music composing. Software also makes this process easy and saves a great deal of time. I never wanted to be a music composer. Software has changed my mind because you can do so much with it. Printing out parts is so much easier. The list goes on and on.

Music feeds the soul and whenever I hear my favorite song I drift into a place reality cannot take me. Technology is making our lives easier and we should take advantage of it anyway we can. I hope much more music will be composed because songwriting software saves time and in return we will have more music.

Anthony Ballog graduated from Wayne State University where he studied music. For more information about songwriting software please visit http://www.tonysgoodies.com/music_composition_software.html

A Brief History of the Fender Telecaster

The Fender Telecaster is one of the World's most recognizable guitars. Simple in design, the Telecaster has been the quintessential guitar for over fifty years. It was also essentially the first recognizable solid body guitar, which provided the inspiration for some of the most recognizable music of the 20th century with regard to folk, blues, R & B, rock, and country genres.

The telecaster has it's origins in early 1940's when Clarence Leonidas Fender (AKA Leo Fender), proprietor of the Fender Radio Repair Shop, started to experiment with guitar amplification. One day Leo Fender fashioned a crude solid body guitar to his test early pickup systems. This crude guitar garnered much attention from local musicians that it prompted Fender to experiment with design and electronics from which the modern Fender Telecaster was born.

Interestingly, the Telecaster was initially named the "Broadcaster," but in 1950 it was renamed as the Gretsch Company claimed that "Broadcaster" was a trademark violation as it was too similar in name to their "Broadkaster" drum line. In 1952 the first production models of the Telecaster hit the market. The guitars made during 1951 were affectionately name "nocasters" and today are some of the most sought after guitars on the market.

The Telecaster or "Tele" for short is the longest running solid body electric guitar still in production. It employs a simple modular design consisting of a solid body, bolt on neck, and two single coil pickups. Its trademark tone is one of the most recognizable in popular music. Played clean, the Fender Telecaster has a bright, punchy tone widely heard on both early and contemporary country music. It's versatility and durability also makes it a reliable choice for blues, rock, fusion, and pop professional guitarists.

The Telecaster has under gone few changes over the past fifty years, and because of this, it remains a favorite for customization. While the original Telecaster traditionally employed a two single coil pickup system, some rock and metal guitarists added a dual humbucker configuration. This produces a tighter tone better suited for rock and metal styles. Many professional stage and studio guitarists have made modifications to the Telecaster such as adding a middle "Strat" pickup and installing a five-way switching system.

These changes dramatically increase the versatility the telecaster, but many Telecaster purists strongly disagree with such a drastic departure from Leo Fender's original design. Fender Musical Instruments have also released many models of the Telecaster throughout the years. The Telecaster American Deluxe, American Standard, American Vintage, Artist, Classic, Classic Player, Deluxe, Highway One, Standard, Nashville, B-Bender, and Vintage Hot Rod are all examples of Telecaster reincarnations. One thing is for certain, however, these guitars still encapsulate Leo Fender's original idea of a robust and versatile guitar.

They say the more things change, the more they stay the same. This couldn't be more true for the Fender Telecaster. From it's birth in the early 1950's to today, the Fender Tele has become the go to guitar for professional and novice guitarists all around the world. It is renowned for its versatility, playability, and durability. Be sure to check out this guitar when researching guitars to buy-you will not be sorry.

The Best One Hit Wonders for Your Ipod

Ah, one hit wonders - songs that allow bands and artists to be famous for about thirty seconds. Love 'em, hate 'em, or shut off the radio in a fit of rage each time one airs, if you like music there is really no escape: one hit wonders are part of the musical world. Some are worth forgetting altogether - ahem, Do the Bartman - but others are well worth a listen, or fifty. The following is our selection of the best one hit wonders to put on your Ipod. Trust me, your friends will be jealous.

I'm Too Sexy: There is nothing quite as humorous as a man vocalizing his sexiness, sans a man who is not at all sexy doing it. Right Said Fred brought ego to a new height with this 1992 hit. I'm Too Sexy not only taught us what the heck a cat walk is, but it also topped the American charts for three whole weeks. Yes, three...seriously.

Tainted Love: If you ever feel like you've got to run away, like you've got to get away, you are not alone. This song by Soft Cell was released in 1981. Rumored to have been recorded in just a day and a half, Tainted Love reached number 8 on the US charts, a chart where it remained for a then-record 43 weeks. Not bad for 36 hours of work.

Marcarena: If the Marcarena taught us one thing, it taught us that we can have a song stuck in our heads for months at a time, without actually knowing the words. Recorded by Los del Rio, a Spanish music group, Marcarena was the biggest hit for a duo that had been around for decades. This song went multi-platinum and sold over four million copies in the United States. Marcarena also did well in Australia and - adopting the tell tale sign of musical success - came with its own dance.

Come on Eileen: A song still popular among lovers of eighties music, Come on Eileen virtually turned into come on let's sing. Released in 1982, this song was the best selling British single of the year. Performed by Dexy's Midnight Runners, Come on Eileen also saw success in the US: it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in April 1983. Today, it remains one of the most well known and beloved One Hit Wonders of all time.

Ice Ice Baby: Alright Stop. Collaborate and listen. Anyone who says they don't know the words to Ice Ice Baby is either too old or lying. Vanilla Ice's best known cube was released in 1991. A song that "borrowed" rifts from Queen and David Bowie's Under Pressure, Ice Ice Baby heated up the airwaves and hit number one on the Billboard charts. Possessing fans from everywhere, this song was even nominated for a Grammy. It ultimately lost to MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This.

There is really no end to One Hit Wonders. As long as there is music, there will be groups that are only able to eke out a single success. Yet, despite what the title One Hit Wonder insinuates, these songs remain a part of musical history. We may as well cooperate and put them on our Ipod; they are stuck in our heads for life, whether we like it or not.

Vintage Synthesizers - Beginning of Synthesized Music

Synthesizers are electronic instruments, which are capable of delivering a varied range of sounds. Synthesizers are of different types. Synthesizers have changed its look with time. Vintage synthesizers were far more different from the modern synthesizers. Synthesizers of old times were big and they did not offer so many facilities like today.

Elisa Gray invented the first synthesizer in 1876. It was called the musical telegraph at that time. The invention of this instrument happened accidentally. Elisa Grey was also the inventor of telephone. He used a telephone technology to invent this instrument.
Once he suddenly discovered that sound can be controlled from a self-vibrating electromagnetic circuit. And from this he invented a single note oscillator.

After this some other synthesizers were also invented. The vintage synthesizers derived their technology from the early musical instruments, analogue computer and some laboratory test instrument.

In 1937 Ivor Darreg created one microtonal electronic keyboard oboe. After this Evgeny Murzin created an ANS synthesizer. A big Mark 2 Music Synthesizer was invented in 1958. It was kept at the Columbia Princeton Electronic Music center located in New York. The paradox with this synthesizer was it could only be played after preparing the full programming of the machine. There was a vacuum tube system. It had to be manually used, while creating any kind of new sound.

In 1958 Daphne Oram too made a synthesizer. It was made at BBC radio phonic Workshop. She used a technique called Oramics technique to make this instrument. BBC used this synthesizer for several years.

In the late 1940s and early 50s different automated music controllers were invented. Raymond Scott, John Hanert, Hugh Le Caine and some others invented these kinds of controllers.

By 1960, modified synthesizers were invented. They could be played at real time. But they were so big that they had to be confined inside the sound studio. Vintage synthesizers were basically made of modular devices. They were not as much updated as the modern synthesizers. They did not have many features. They normally had the piano tone. Some other tones were also available, but there were not much of them.

Vintage synthesizers were very experimental. Actually they were devices, which were made specially. The mechanics were very much dependent on the concept of modularity. Robert Moog invented a synthesizer, which was a big hit at that time. This synthesizer was very much useful for the pop musicians. The best thing about this instrument was that it was smaller than the previous ones and it looked more like an instrument than a machine.

Micky Dolenz of the band The Monkees was the first one to buy this synthesizer. They used this instrument in their fourth album, which was called Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones Ltd. This album was released in 1967. This was the first album that featured a synthesizer. The instrument became an instant hit after the release of this album.

As time moved on new experiment started taking place on synthesizers. And as a result, their new models were made. These modern ones are far more upgraded than the older ones. But we shall not forget that the vintage synthesizers were the first that paved the way to these new ones. And for that reason, we shall always remember them.

Tim McGraw "Greatest Hits Vol 2" Country Music CD Review

Country Music sensation Tim McGraw has released his second greatest hits CD appropriately titled Greatest Hits Vol. 2.

I have to say McGraw's music always sounds fresh to me. He seems to completely escape that all too familiar "been in the business, cranking out CD's for... years" sound. After nine CD's you could almost forgive him if his sound started to show some sameness but it doesn't at all.

On this release he shows some real versatility by branching out and doing track 6, Over And Over with pop and rap sensation Nelly that enjoyed some serious radio airplay time, and rightfully so. It's a good song.

Also included in this collection is a duet with his wife, Faith Hill. Track 3, Like We Never Loved At All.

This is one of those greatest hit albums that you really do know and enjoy every song

Overall McGraw's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 is is a definite must have for all Tim McGraw fans. As smooth and soothing as his voice is you just can't go wrong.

While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are Like We Never Loved At All [track 3], The Cowboy In Me [track 4], and Over And Over [track 11]. My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1, Live Like You Were Dying. Wow!

"Sumptuous" is the only way to describe this 1845 inn, improbably set amid a peaceful garden, a block off bustling Route 28. A skilled interior decorator has combined fine antiques and striking contemporary touches to lift this inn's interiors way above the average homey B&B decor. Some suites are apartment-size, containing sitting rooms equipped with a fireplace, and whirlpool-tub bathrooms bigger than the average bedroom. Next door, the 1825 Elisha Jenkins House contains an additional large suite with its own sun deck. Welcoming touches in rooms include chocolates, fresh flowers, and plush robes. Breakfast consists of three courses served in the formal dining room or the sunny courtyard.
